![]() ![]() ![]() Player choice is indeed important but there are things that weigh on this one. Just note that when you use NTT all steam features except matchmaking are disabled. You can give up dailies/weeklies and steam achievements for NTT or you need to swap between them.ĮDIT: Also I don't disagree with people that play with modded wide-screen as I do understand why it is preferred but, it was done on purpose as a game balancing tweak so that the player cannot see more to their left and right compared to up and down. A mod by the name of Nuclear Throne Together which allows for online multiplayer/modding and more does have a 60 FPS mode for this game though which might be worth looking into if that is to be desired. But this will not become a reality as far as I've been told. Overall I do agree that NTT is the superior way to play with things like experimental 60fps and such. However it is a conscious and legal decision to not make NTT an official part of the base steam game as the devs wish to avoid disparity between ports(console, GoG, etc.). So the steam updates and NTT are already being done by the same person. The latest steam build is actually based off of NTT but with the multi-player and modding stripped away. Hyper light drifter had no early access period, and was released in march of 2016.Īnd I understand gamemaker engine games rely on the framerate for the literal speed the game plays out.Ursprünglich geschrieben von hoggy:Why hasn't this happened? It makes the game objectively better with 60fps and widescreen support so I don't get why they haven't tried to implement this mod into the game for real or make their own version? I know the 4:3 aspect ratio was a design choice but player choice should be a thing too. ![]() the game wasn't actually "released" until December of 2015 With the earlier shown cactus, you would use it like so: /loadsprite sprCactus sprCactus.png. For this there is a '/loadsprite' command. I see NT came out in October of 2013 But that was early access. Once editing is done, its time to see your changes in-game. So you mean 3 months made a HUGE change in tech? but this game was updated for months and months and months after it, and the thing being a fan made mod was able to get 60 fps.but the devs could not. I despise 30 fps in twitch based gameplay. I know the 4:3 aspect ratio was a design choice but player choice should be a thing too. It is a thing that needs to be decided before a game goes into long term development.Īlso I'm not a developer. Which really means there is not really any motivation as porting NT to 60fps would take an insane amount of time. 0% increase in profit for 6~8 months of work. Hyper light drifter came out way later than NT and as a matter of a fact the devs have admitted that for all the work they put in to make the game 60fps, it simply never paid off. Nuclear Throne Together is an unofficial mod for Nuclear Throne that adds online co-op and mod support and a whole bunch of other features. You fail to understand a couple of things. With the several ( hundred!?) updates NT has had, I don't see why this was never an official thing. Taking a page from Hyperlight Drifter - that game was 30 fps, and they made it 60 fps. I despise 30 fps in twitch based gameplay. (it also adds mod support and online co-op, but not the leaderboards or steam achievements) NUclear Throne Together? is that the name of the beta branch? bc if this is a thing, i'll scoop your game back up. The current NTT(nuclear throne together) beta does support a experimental 60fps mode that works smoothly most of the time but requires beefier hardware to run well. Future games will run at better framerates and minit which is partially made by one of the NT devs, is in fact 60fps. At this point there is no benefit to going through that process. By the time it became a big topic it was kinda too late as it would require a ton of rewriting at this point to get the game to run at 60fps. The game started development in a time where this was still common and more accepted. DRM-free support, custom skins and custom aspect ratios.
